♱ 1st Dream || Video

Dream Effect: Changing between pleasure to... utter confusion.

It was like something pulled directly out of a story book. The sun glimmered down against the new dew-dripped grass, leaving a distinct shine against the pieces of nature. Birds chirps, and the wind passed by the meadow area with the calmest of senses. It was peaceful, and a perfect day for Colette to relax near a bed of wild flowers. A huff of air escaped her lips, smile breaching past it's normal limits--

"Arf!" That sound. Instantly the girl perked up from her position and eyes scanned the immediate area. Sure enough a few feet away was black-spotted dog trotting towards her direction.

"Oh! A doggie! Hello there." Excitement was literally oozing from her petite figure as the dog wagged it's tail for attention. She complied, her thoughts drifting elsewhere for a moment. "Hmm... you look like a Sammy. I think I'll call you Sammy!"

Sure enough, 'Sammy' barked with acceptance. Or... was that Sammy? The bark sounded a little deeper and Colette broke her gaze from the dog ahead of her to see yet another one coming from the other side of the hill.

"Oh! Another one--" And another... and another... and another. At least twenty dogs all running towards her from the hill. All happily barking and wagging their tails. A stifle gasp was let out, and before the girl could make her way to meet the many tag-alongs, the ground shook with an eminence pressure. Like a flimsy noodle Colette stumbled to the ground, her eyes widening at the giant shadow emerging from distance.

AROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

A ginormous dog-- at least thirty stories high-- raced towards the blond Chosen; tail wagging and causing the trees around the area to sway or even begin to break. Its happy jumps cause the earth to move, and yet the other dogs seemed to not be effected by the higher-active giant.

It took the girl a moment, a long pause of silence to wrap her mind around what was going on, but when she came to only a smile appeared.

"I think I'll name you Manny! ♥"

Oh! [ Hold on, this takes some serious thinking. She'll close her eyes for a moment, concentrating, before opening them again. ] I do remember them! Thank you, Lloyd!

... Would you want to help me?

Me? [Lloyd blinks in surprise.] I've never named dogs before. [Or anything else, really.] You want me to help you, Colette?

Of course! [ Her smile beams. ] I couldn't pick anyone else better for the job!

[Aww, Colette. You really know how to make Lloyd grin.] Well, I guess I could try. Dwarven vow number sixteen, right?

Hmm... How 'bout you name the spotted one Spotty?

[ Awww, well good! Because she loves to see you smile. ] Uh huh. 'You can do anything if you try!'

Spotty? [ Wow. The thought it took for that one. ] I love it! That name is perfect.

[H-hey! Give him a break! It's his first time naming dogs.] Okay, your turn. You name one now, Colette.

[ Wonderful job he is doing so far! But leave it up to a pro now. ]

Hm. Alright then! [ Thinking... thinking... ] The brown one, with the white belly, his name is Marshmallow!

Really? Because his spots look like marshmallows to you? [How does she come up with all these names? Lloyd's going to find out her secret!]

Yes! And did you see his nose? It looked very squishy and soft-- just like a marshmallow! [ It takes many years of hard dedication, Lloyd. Learn from your sensei! ]

Let's see... oh! The black one is Scooter, the white and gray one is Snickerdoodle, and that one is Shadow!

[ Wait wait, she's on a role now. ] Chip, Oscar, Smoothie...

Man, you're really good at this, Colette. Hmm... [He tries to remember which dogs haven't been named.] The yellow one! The yellow one with the fluffy tail! That one's Dino-lette!

... Dino-lette? What a cute name! [ But wait-- ] How did you come up with that one, Lloyd?

[Lloyd is really proud of himself for this one.] Because it reminded me of two of my best friends. Dino and Colette!

[Another blink. Oh yeah, that's right!] I don't think so. I guess I thought you had because I had a dream about you two. I met Dino here. He's in Somarium! I think you'd like him too.

[ Wait wait-- flustered blink. ] Oh Lloyd, you had a dream about me?

He is here, too? If he is a friend of yours, I would love to meet him!

Well, yeah. You're my friend, so that's not weird at all, right? You were an angel, and so was I, and we were teaching Dino to be one, too, so we could save his world.

You want to meet him now? We could go over to his place.

No, not at all! [ She has dreams about you, too. ] Really? That sounds so exciting. I'm sure flying with both of you would be really fun!

I would really like that. Could you take me there?

[Aww, Lloyd would be so touched.] We didn't get to fly much in my dream, because that's when it ended, but it was! Man, it makes me kind of wish I had wings.

Sure! Besides, I have something I want to give both of you! Where do you want to meet up?
